Lillian will demonstrate mosaic methods, using the classical hammer and hardie cutting technique. Along with the mosaic technique demo, get a close look at the mosaic-making process through finished artworks, work in progress, tools, books and a resource sheet to take home.

An educational display includes examples of various methods and materials highlighting the ancient roots or “grammar” of mosaic making.
We’ll also be offering a free visitor activity and you can try your hand at setting mosaics inspired by the Lod mosaic.
