A huge new Apple store opened in Barcelona this summer, and they boxed up some sweet swag that is certain to appeal to mosaic fashionistas the world over. Barcelona is a design mecca, so even the box is worthy of a geometric high-five.

Do you think Antoni Gaudi and his assistants would enjoy wearing this? You bet!
The Apple store is very near to his amazing architectural masterpieces La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.
Apple pulled out all the stops by creating actual mosaic tiled walls for it’s construction barrier. The tiles were printed with images from familiar iPhone and iPad icons, then broken and placed into abstracted patterns all the way around the building. The icons created playful waves of color to catch attention, and the wall served as an art work in it’s own right.

If that’s not enough Apple Mosaicitude for you: here’s a iPhone skin of red and yellow mosaic stripes, the colors of the Spanish Flag.
The limited-edition Snap Case is available exclusively at the Apple Store, Passeig de Gràcia.
The store opened on July 29th,2012 to the cheering enthusiasm normally reserved for the World Cup !
